Last night saw many of the team head over to the Rambert Dance Company on Southbank to help out with the second Women’s Sport Trust #BeAGameChanger Awards.

Sue, Kate, Katie, Hayley, Sophie and Amelia were on hand to help the charity with their annual ceremony that recognises all those individuals, teams and organisations doing the most to progress women’s sport. With the event bigger and better than last year, everyone was keeping their eyes peeled to spot some of the famous sporting names and ambassadors in attendance.

With Periscope, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram all manned by Promote for the evening, the team ensured that social media ran without a hitch and it was great to see our #BeAGameChanger hashtag trending at the number one spot during the evening!

Hosted by sports journalist and broadcaster Reshmin Choudry, with a powerful keynote speech from John Amaechi, the high performance executive coach and the only Briton to have his NBA jersey ‘retired’ in the US Basketball Hall of Fame, 11 awards were presented throughout the evening.

And of course there was a standing ovation when award-winning broadcaster, journalist and author, Clare Balding, who gave last year’s key note speech, was honoured with a special award for Outstanding Contribution to Women’s Sport.

The night was an incredible success for all we’re already looking forward to next year’s event! To find out more about the work the Women’s Sport Trust do, click here
