We attend the first ever Women's Health Live

Posted 07.05.2019

On Friday, Emma and Dan had a chance to attend the first ever Women’s Health Live event in London. With a jam-packed line up of talks on the main stage, there was also the opportunity to sweat it out in studio classes, get our yogi on in the Zen Den and find out the latest nutrition trends.

The calibre of the speakers and studio instructors was impressively high, with Women’s Health really pulling out all the stops and using their friends / contacts to get some of the most current names in wellness in attendance. An example of the line up includes Rochelle Humes, Georgia Toffolo, Binky Felstead, Jillian Michaels, Dr Hazel Wallace, Dr Zoe Williams, Laura ‘Biceps’ Hoggins, Alice Liveing and Cat Meffan.

Speaking of Alice Liveing, she certainly put us through our paces in her ‘Sweat’ session! No strangers to the gym, we found it really refreshing to put aside the traditional weights and go back to basics with a range of bodyweight movements. That being said, the movements really tested our capabilities and we were certainly dripping with sweat by the end of the session.

Another highlight for us was seeing the emphasis on body positivity shining through, as Women’s Health launch their new campaign Project Body Love.

Although it did feel slightly small in size compared to some of the longer standing fitness shows such as Balance for example, we are intrigued to see if it will grow for next year with more brands coming on board to exhibit.
