Tommy's Annual Thank You Evening

Posted 27.11.2019

This week Nasima and Leandra attended the annual Tommy’s Thank You event in Tower Hill – an evening to celebrate and give thanks to all those involved in raising awareness of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth across the UK.

The largest charity funding research into the causes, Tommy’s also provide information for parents-to-be to help them have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

A startling one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth-  the target is to halve these number by 2030.

The evening began with an opening address from Tommy’s CEO, Jane Brewin, which was shortly followed by a moving performance from singer songwriter, Sophie Daniels, who recently launched her new EP, Liberty’s Mother. Sophie played three songs from the album and shared her own personal experience of baby loss after her daughter Liberty Rose Alagna was stillborn. Sophie is now using her musical talent to raise awareness and money to fund research into preventing baby loss.
