Tom B gets the #EalingFeeling

Posted 30.09.2019

Always up for a challenge, I felt it was time to take on my second half marathon.

I had the great opportunity of taking on the 2018 Cardiff Half Marathon with our client Meridian and with nearly a year passing since then, I was keen to lace up the running shoes again!

Despite a wedding and an indulgent all-inclusive holiday in the month leading up to the event, I prepared well and was ready to go on the damp start line in West London.

The wet weather had no chance to dampen any spirits and there was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the event. My preparation paid off as I was able to take seven minutes off my Cardiff time and cross the line in 1 hour 36 minutes, a time I was delighted with!

With 13.1 miles well and truly ticked off, my sights are now set on completing a full marathon in 2020. I have my fingers and toes crossed that this will be in London if I’m successful in the London Marathon ballot but somewhere, sometime next year you’ll see me taking on the 26.2 mile challenge!
