The Game Changers S2 Ep 9 Eni Aluko

Posted 26.11.2019

It’s been a big week for Eni Aluko as she’s just announced she’ll be returning to football in England after 18 months playing for Juventus.

In this special edition of The Game Changers podcast you can hear Eni talk about the challenges she faced on her pathway to being a professional footballer, the impact of her being the first female pundit on ‘Match of the Day’ and how she was affected by the racism case against the Football Association.

Eniola is one of only 11 female players to have represented England over 100 times and has won multiple club and individual honours for Chelsea and Juventus.

Off the field Eni holds a first-class law degree, is a media personality, best-selling author and serves as an ambassador for UN Women UK and Common Goal.

In 2018 she was named by Marie Claire as one of ten Future Shapers award winners – she is passionate about health and wellbeing, self-image, confidence and equality of opportunity for girls and women all over the world.

Eni’s story is hugely inspiring for anyone with a passion for sport and I’m so grateful to her for taking the time to meet me and record this podcast.

You can find The Game Changers podcast in all the usual places – iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher etc.
