Last weekend Nicky and Hayley attended Goldsmith University’s short course on ‘How to run social media and digital marketing campaigns’. The course covered the latest social media tools, marketing techniques and ways for brands to utilise platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
Those leading the course explained how the younger generation are becoming increasingly aware of falsehoods, resulting in the need for brands to focus on authenticity. The speakers further highlighted the best tools for supporting social media campaigns.
Top five tools:
1 Followerwonk: digs deep into Twitter analytics and allows you to locate influencers
2 Canva: easy to use graphic design software. Allows anyone to edit brand logos / company colours or existing images.
3 Nuzzel: highlights news of interest to your social media following
4 Ritetag: analyse your tweets or blog post and using a traffic light system coaches you, explaining what you can do to make your posts more engaging.
5 Asana: a management tool that helps your team stay on track
They even bumped into founder of leading Gluten-free sausage brand, The Black Farmer.
The girls found the course extremely interesting and came away with some great thoughts to share with the rest of the team, including the best food hangouts in New Cross!
