TeamUp media day with Fran Wilson, Maddie Hinch and Rachel Dunn
Posted 09.10.2019
Three-years after we helped to launch the TeamUp campaign at St Edwards Catholic Primary School in Marylebone, Ruth, Dan and Sue travelled back to the school to host a media day highlighting the work of the campaign in leveraging the impact of the home World Cups and getting thousands of young girls playing team sport in schools.
They were joined by out-going England Netball CEO Joanna Adams and three England sporting stars; Olympic gold medallist, Maddie Hinch MBE (England Hockey), World Cup bronze medallist, Rachel Dunn (England Netball) and World Cup winner, Fran Wilson (England Cricket).
During a busy morning, the players enjoyed a TeamUp netball session, joining 11 young girls from St Edwards Catholic Primary School in a selection of fun netball drills and games.
As the pupils enjoyed the rest of the TeamUp netball session, Maddie, Rachel and Fran took the time to speak with the assembled media including BBC London, Give Me Sport, Daily Mirror, HerSport and the Press Association.
As the busy morning began to draw to a close, the players very kindly spent some time with our videographers, who captured content about the TeamUp campaign and how other London based schools can get involved.
Keep an eye out on the Promote PR and TeamUp social media channels to see the final video.
