Promote PR celebrates 25 years of getting people more active

Posted 15.01.2019

It’s a significant month for the team at Promote, as the specialist sport and fitness PR agency celebrates its 25th anniversary. A new website and logo have also been unveiled to mark the occasion.

Founded in January 1994 by Sue Anstiss MBE, Promote PR is proud of its impact on the physical and mental health of the nation over the past 25 years, delivering thousands of impactful campaigns and initiatives to encourage millions of people to move more. Renowned for driving sports participation and getting inactive people moving, the agency has won numerous awards for its innovative, effective work.

Sue Anstiss, who is now CEO at Promote PR, is also a Trustee of the Women’s Sport Trust charity, Chair of Get Berkshire Active and sits on the board of the County Sport Partnership Network. In 2018 she was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Honours for her services to grassroots and women’s sport.

Commenting on the anniversary, Sue says: “I’m so proud to look back at all we’ve achieved across the past quarter of a century. Underpinning everything from the start has been a clear vision to get more people moving, and to ensure everyone has the chance to enjoy the incredible benefits of sport and physical activity. I believe it’s this clear focus on our purpose over 25 years that’s enabled Promote PR to continue to grow and thrive.”

The Berkshire based agency’s client list currently includes leading sports brands such as Polar, Dunlop and Mizuno, sports National Governing Bodies including British Rowing, England Netball and British Triathlon, sporting organisations including the London FA, the RFU and Premiership Rugby, along with leisure and fitness venues such as Anytime Fitness, The Climbing Hangar and The Gym Group.
