Managing the media at the Robin Hood Marathon

Posted 26.09.2016

Nicky and Ruth had a busy weekend managing the PR for Sunday’s 36th Ikano Bank Robin Hood Half, Full and Mini Marathon which saw over 13,000 runners take to the streets of Nottingham for the host race of the British Athletics Half Marathon Championships.

With a new and improved 2016 route developed by race organiser Sweatshop and partners, runners were treated to the iconic sights of the city, bringing back some old favourites whilst keeping the picturesque start and finish line next to the River Trent.

The day was a fantastic success and the runners all seemed to agree that the new look course was both a challenge and an improvement. To top it all off, it was a glorious day in Nottingham which only enhanced the day.

Following the triumph of the event, and due to popular demand, Sweatshop have announced that Early Bird entries for the 2017 Ikano Bank Robin Hood Half Marathon, Marathon and Mini Marathon are now OPEN. You can enter here.
