Managing press and PR at Elevate 2017

Posted 12.05.2017

Last week saw Sue, Amelia, Ruth & Tom head over to ExCeL, London to manage the press office for Elevate 2017 – the UK’s largest cross-sector event dedicated to tackling physical inactivity.

With thousands of professionals from healthcare, fitness, academia and elite sport, attendees benefited from a packed two days of networking, seminars, demonstrations and new product launches and the team were on hand to make sure everything ran as smooth as possible.

A number of high profile athletes were also in attendance, sharing the impact of elite sport on their lives. They included Callum Skinner, Olympic Cycling Gold Medallist; Hannah Macleod, Olympic Hockey Gold Medallist; Vanessa Wallace, Rio Paralympic finalist and Nekoda Davies, Team GB Judo Player.

The team also had the chance to listen to key note talks from Professor Greg Whyte OBE, former Olympian, world-renowned sports scientist and Mike Goody, four-time Invictus Games Gold Medallist swimmer, with inclusivity a key theme that emerged across the two days.

The conference was a huge success and a number of influential brands, experts and organisations have already signed up to the 2018 event, to be held at ExCeL, London on 9-10 May. Stay tuned for further developments!`
