Launching London 2019 – Para Swimming returns to the capital
We couldn’t be more excited to have been appointed by British Swimming to manage marketing and communications for the 2019 IPC World Para Swimming Championships, which will take place at the London Aquatics Centre from 9 to 15 September.
With London only confirmed as the new host of the rearranged championships earlier this week, we hosted a launch event on Monday at the British Paralympic Association office for stakeholders and key media. As well as finding out more about the event, attendees had the chance to speak to para-swimmers Ellie Robinson and Alice Tai and capture content.
On the day of the launch event, Promote were the main point of contact for media, athletes and stakeholders.
We facilitated BBC Sport interviews with the athletes and hosted stakeholders.
We also worked with videographers Sportsbeat to capture content from the event. To enhance the interviews and content, we booked a black cab for the event, adding an iconic backdrop that is synonymous with London.
In less than a week, we have generated 46 pieces of coverage of the 2019 Championships announcement, with an audience reach of over 300 million. Key titles covering the event include The Independent, Mail Online, BBC News, BBC Sport, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live.
