Elevate 2018 - a huge success

Posted 21.05.2018

Last week, a record number of industry professionals descended on ExCel London to visit Elevate, the UK’s largest physical activity trade show.

The two-day event attracted 8,133 professionals from 36 countries; a 94% increase on 2017.

The Promote team were on hand to manage the press office, network, gather testimonials and listen in on some of the seminars to gather post-event content.

As well as the growing exhibition, the inaugural Thought Leader’s Conference was a hugely popular addition to the 2018 show, attracting capacity audiences to hear a range of experts debate the issue of physical inactivity.

The show featured a stellar line-up of speakers including Promote CEO Sue Anstiss, who chaired a fascinating discussion about behaviour change. Other high-influential speakers included MP Tracey Crouch, Michael Mosely of the BBC and Dr Fiona Bull of the World Health Organisation.

Many of the speakers highlighted the growing need for the physical activity sector to target those who are currently doing no exercise, instead of attempting to get those who are already moderately active more active. Other discussion topics included childhood obesity, mental health and social prescribing.

Elevate will return on 8-9 May 2019. To keep up will all the latest news, you can visit: www.elevatearena.com
