Another week, another show - Balance Festival
On Friday, Emma and Tom had their sweatiest day at Promote to date today with a trip to Balance Festival. Always one of our favourite consumer shows!
We were put through our paces with three classes at Barry’s Bootcamp, F45 training and KXU London ‘The Games’. Let’s just say that by the end of the third session we were struggling to walk and must have sweated out litres of water! KXU ‘The Games’ was the unanimous favourite, as it isn’t often in our own daily workouts that we get to flip tyres, wield hammers and push / pull tanks.
The afternoon was spent catching up with familiar faces, and wandering the exhibitor hall trying out all the tasty treats from the foodie brands on offer. In terms of exhibitors, we’d say that it seemed to be roughly made up of 65% food and drink brands and the rest made up of clothing, boutiques and wellness brands.
The brand that completely dominated the event was Theragun – they were everywhere! Their staff were situated outside each fitness class waiting for people to finish so they could assist in recovery and allow consumers to trial the product.
We managed to slip in a couple of the key note talks – speaking of F45, we went to their talk on scaling up through franchising (just before getting beasted in their class). It was interesting to hear that 90% of their new member leads come through social media advertising – shows the power of social media!
All in all, a really good day and we look forward to seeing what they do to continue their success next year.
