‘Tis the season of giving and we thought it would be the perfect time to say a big thank you to some of our favourite fitness bloggers. They give us motivation, make us laugh and keep us on trend…
This blog provides inspiration in the form of the lovely Nicola Joyce, a 2 x INBF World Champion bodybuilder and fitness writer. Nicola is not a PT, a coach or a fitness professional, but she loves training – just like the rest of us, making us all feel like we can do it too! Check out her ‘These are a few of my favourite things…’ posts to read up on the latest products you may want to add to your wish list.
Strong not Skinny, Fit not Thin! This is the mantra of the lovely Hannah Mills who talks us through sweaty workouts, delicious recipes, tips and reviews both on her blog and through her youtube vlogging. A fan of the weights room, Hannah will convert you to being a lifter with vlogs bring her ‘how-to’ guides to life.
The quirky name drew us in (a tribute to the amount of meals us Brits serve on Toast) and the unbiased, honest opinions on fitness, nutrition and lifestyle keep us coming back for more. That... and the amazing photography (courtesy of Faya’s own photographer), which makes you want to jump up and get active there and then. As well as ‘Fitness’ on Toast this great blog also offers recipes, fashion (shoes!) and travel destinations.
Described as ‘the site for girls who like sweating, fitness and the odd nip of gin’ naturally this blog is right up our street. Emma and Charlotte put their bodies on the line to guide us through the latest classes, trends and gear. While their ‘Month in Sweat’ means you never miss an event and there’s no excuse to go a month without getting involved.
We love (along with thousands of others) love following Sophie’s incredible adventures. From Ironman Wales, the World First Alpine Coast-to-Coast, to lots of top training tips year-round, Sophie is an inspiration for all of us wanting to be fearless in the face of our fitness goals. Her blogs are incredibly honest, and each post makes a relatable, personable read. (You’ll almost feel like you were at the top of the Alpines with her… almost…)
A keen runner, Georgina of Fitcetera shares her love of sport with her desire to try new fitness concepts and her passion for stylish apparel and gadgets. All this combined with her self-confessed ‘clumsy nature’ results in a very well rounded, enjoyable blog. Between running, CrossFit and Fitcetera, Georgina also runs her own part time sports therapy business. Definitely one to provide a little extra motivation for busy ladies. There’s always time for fitness.
Founded by Sadie Macleod, Hip and Healthy is a brilliant one-stop shop for all things stylish and luxurious with a health and fitness twist. It’s a successful online publication selling the trendiest fitness gear, interspersed with tips, interviews and reviews. We’re particular hooked on the monthly ‘Fitspiration’ section showcasing athletes, celebs, role models to inspire you to live the hip and healthy lifestyle!
This fitness blog is completely unique and straight talking and we love it for that. Sian blogs about her journey to become the dashing diva she is today. Resonating with every normal women out there, Sian’s blog isn’t for ‘skinny minnies looking for the next diet fad’ – phew! This blog talks to you on your level, inspiring fitness through sport, exercise and healthy eating. If ever we need someone to tell us we can do it, this blog does just that.
Fit Girl about Town is a super slick, user friendly blog with fitness at its core. The passion for fitness is on every page, encouraging you to not only get healthy but to push yourself further, which is no surprise as creator, Joslyn Thompson has a wealth of experience in the industry. Recognising that sometimes eating the right things and exercising is tough, Fit Girl About Town keeps us at our most fabulous with the latest must-know nutrition tips, guidance on exercise and events to attend.
This is the perfect feel-good read for any women. Soph reminds us that all women are unique and beautiful with a blog focused on being healthy in order to be the best version of yourself, accepting yourself for who you are. From nutritional tips, a race diary, product reviews and a shout-out to her other fave bloggers, this blog is great if you’re looking for health information in bite-size pieces. In her words ‘what to eat, how to move and how to look good whilst doing so.’ Simple.
Jen of Eclectic Cake is a self-confessed ‘trapeze flying, lake swimming, trail running addict who struggles with cycling and likes to write’. Our kind of girl! The blog is jam-packed with races and the latest workouts. Ideal if you’re looking to shake up your training and want to know what’s new in fitness. Jen says that if she inspires just one person to pull on their trainers then it’s all worth it. Well forget about one, you’ve got the whole Promote office hooked!
Carly’s blog is a fresh look at fitness, covering a range of categories from fitness and food to fashion and skincare. Also big on youtube and Instagram, she’ll even tailor a workout plan for you (for a great price)… if you ask nicely! There’s also a great giveaways section for if you’re feeling lucky and guest blogs to offer advice on living a healthy lifestyle.
This blog is fantastically visual! Opening up in a ‘mosaic’ of colourful images to showcase the latest workouts in action, trends and recipes. Sarah loves finding new ways to keep fit, keeping us at the forefront of what’s new new and exciting in the workout world.
