Some really useful insight was shared at the ukactive Comms Forum this month, Chaired by our very own Katie Lewis.
The event, which is free to ukactive members, invited four speakers to present to an audience of marketing and communication professionals from within the sector.
The running order was as follows:
- Lucy Saunders, Public Health Specialist at the Greater London Authority and Transport. Talked about the work that LfT has commissioned to encourage more people to be active as part of their daily commute to work as part of the world’s first transport health action plan
- Ray Algar, MD of Oxygen Consulting explored how putting social good front and centre can propel an organisation forward
- Chris Sharman, MD of iKidz Consultancy and Global Franchise Director at Challenger Sports shared how communications and marketing professionals can maximise the opportunity of the Football World Cup to increase physical activity.
- Sarah Russell, Consultant Editor of Running Fitness magazine told why the magazine has been rebranded, the growth of the running sector and the type of content the magazine is looking to.
