The opening of the West Bromwich Leisure Centre

Scarlett was out and about this morning to support the opening of the West Bromwich Leisure Centre, the brand new state of the art development on Moor Street which was built and designed by Places for People Leisure

The sun shone on the ribbon cutting as the Mayor, West Bromwich East MP Tom Watson, Councillor Paul More and children from the local Lyng Primary School were among those who came out to celebrate the centre opening to the public.

The council’s free swimming initiative for children aged 16 and under during school holidays and free swimming for people aged 60 and over will also apply at the new leisure centre.

The new facility, designed, built and managed by Places for People Leisure, includes a 25m pool with a learner pool, sauna and steam room, a four-court sports hall, a 100-station fitness suite, two dance studios/activity rooms, an indoor children’s adventure play centre and cafe.
