Nicki headed to mile 23 of the London Marathon yesterday to be a part of the 100-strong volunteer team working on the final Lucozade fuelling station of the course.
Lorries unloaded, tables laden with product, branding perfected, uniforms donned, we were ready for 36,000 runners to arrive!
The team erupted with the arrival of Mo Farah and six hours later voices were straining from the never-ending cheering.
Thousands of tired runners, young and old, were flying the flag for their charity, endless fancy dress costumes (top prize for the Jamaican bobsled team!) and beaming families overjoyed as they spotted their loved ones run by.
The fuelling station provided quite a treat as runners were handed a bottle by rugby stars Chris Robshaw and Leigh Halfpenny or Arsenal footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Such an amazing day, still on a high and London did us proud. Congratulations all!
