With pastries and coffee on arrival, Kirsty was very excited to attend her first Gorkana Breakfast briefing with Cosmopolitan. New to the world of PR, the briefing was a great opportunity for her to learn general tips of the trade as well as to hear all about Cosmopolitan's newly launched website.
Here are some of her snippets from the morning:
- 'From Months to Moments' ? A central news desk has been created to supply 24-hour digital content with increased reporting. This means they have staff working around the clock at all hours to deliver news
- Cosmopolitan are increasing coverage with charities (including the recent Ice Bucket Challenge Phenomenon)
- Listicals, these are lists such as ,Top Ten, and 'Ten Ways' , one of Cosmopolitan's favourite go-to's to deliver information
The team at Cosmopolitan were extremely excited about the new website which means there is now a 'continuous voice' from them. Their use of social media is also on the rise, and their twitter handles are a great way to contact them.
