A Day at the Races

Having trained for the last four months with her friends Nicky and Brenda, Sue was in action this weekend at the British Rowing Indoor Championships, competing in both the 2,000m and the 500m events in the 50-54 Masters Women category.

The event took place at the Lee Valley Velopark in Stratford, so it was an early start for the ladies as they headed around the M25 on the way to the Olympic Park.

Sue was fairly happy with her 10th place in the 2000m in 8:30 and more pleased with the 1:50 for the 500m which meant she was in 6th place.

Nicky, Sue and Brenda. Everyone did a PB on the day and Brenda managed to get UNDER 8 minutes for the 2,000m and placed 4th, missing out on a bronze medal by just 0.4 of a second.

Some social media interviews for British Rowing.

A short nap between races for Sue, showing the versatility of her fabulous Boudavida kit too.
