Secrets to marketing and PR success

Last night, Nicky and Amelia headed to swanky central London club, Sway for a Gorkana panel event discussing the secrets to marketing and PR success. After being wined and dined upon arrival, the 120 attendees then settled in for the debate. 

Alastair Pegg, Marketing Director at The Co-operative Bank, Omaid Hiwaizi, President, Global Marketing at Blippar 

and Gary Andrews, Social Media Editor at Direct Line Group made up the panel of marketing, communications and social media experts. And Philip Smith, head of news and content at Gorkana, led the discussion.

The panel were discussed:
•How marketing and PR initiatives can be tightly aligned and how you determine that mix and the
 correct balance
•How the roles of earned, owned and paid media have changed and where social media fits in
•What challenges, and opportunities new technologies and partnerships create and how you make the most of them
