Sue had a busy weekend in beautiful North Wales, competing in the Bala triathlon. She was hoping that all her hard training this summer would pay off and she might be able to qualify for the European Age Group Championships in Geneva next summer. This meant she'd need to be in the top four in her age group or have a fast enough time to get a roll down qualification place.
The full race was a 1,500 lake swim, followed by 40k of undulating bike and finished off with a 10k run. Sue certainly looked a little happier before the swim that at the end of the run.
Delighted with the improvements in her time (a massive 30 minute improvement on her previous Olympic Distance triathlon), Sue should find out later this week if she's qualified to compete for GB again next summer. Fingers crossed!
