Managing Director

1.What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve ever been given?

The decisions should always be made on science and feeling. Science being the facts and what is in front of you, and feeling being listen to your gut. Relying on just one could lead to bad judgement calls.

2.What did you want to be when you were growing up?

An archaeologist or historian.

3. What’s your proudest sporting achievement?

As a busy working mum, I’m proud that I regularly make time for training and hit the gym at least 3 times a week. Having been brought up in a non-sporting household by a single mum, it’s important to me that my daughter knew from a young age the importance of being active.

4.What will be the biggest development in the sport/fitness industry in the next 5 years?

Technology taking training out of the gym space and into your home, garden in fact anywhere. We’ve already seen a huge increase in app based workouts and the introduction of virtual training space in the gym. Soon you will be able to join a class virtually at home, or access ‘real people’ personal training and motivation at any time.

5. Where will we find you on social media?

Facebook, twitter, Instagram and Linkedin

6. Tell us something we would never guess about you?

I once organised Barbie’s 40th birthday party hosted by Elton John and Posh & Becks

7. Are you more fit or less fit than you were 10 years ago?

I am much fittest, most active I have ever been

8. You’re on a desert island and can take a book, film and box set. What would they be?

Book – The Iliad, Homer

Film – Back to the Future

Box set – every series of Only Fools & Horses

9. Which traditional media do you regularly consume?

Women’s Health, Grazia, Sunday Times

10. How would people describe you in three words?

Collaborative, focused, dry-witted

  2. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
    Marine Biologist…there is still time
  3. What’s your proudest sporting achievement?
Hopefully running a half marathon this year and representing my school in netball, athletics, rounders

On demand fitness services in the style of Uber, Deliveroo and Netflix

    I have a lazy eye
  7. Are you more fit or less fit than you were 10 years ago?
    More fit
  8. You’re on a desert island and can take a book, film and box set. What would they be?
Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas or Lord of the Flies by William Golding
    Shawshank Redemption
I would prefer to take a back catalogue of music rather than a box set
  9. Which traditional media do you regularly consume?
    Radio

1.What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve ever been given?

There’s no such thing as a silly question or suggestion.

2.What did you want to be when you were growing up?

An athlete – I didn’t mind in what discipline I just wanted to play sport.

What’s your proudest sporting achievement?

Scoring four goals in my last ever game for my university football team – made extra special due to the fact that I’d struggled to hit the net all season.

4.What will be the biggest development in the sport/fitness industry in the next 5 years?

Brands recognising and embracing the opportunities in women’s sport.

5. Where will we find you on social media?

You can find me on Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

6. Tell us something we would never guess about you?

I’m an avid Nick Knowles fan and having listened to his full album over Christmas decided to tweet how great it was – to which he replied!

7. Are you more fit or less fit than you were 10 years ago?

Definitely less fit, I played every sport under the sun as a kid and now I struggle to get out of bed in the morning. On a positive note, I’m getting back into football and am training for the Reading Half Marathon at the end of March!

8. You’re on a desert island and can take a book, film and box set. What would they be?

The Spy Who Came in from the Cold; Jurassic World; Dexter

9. Which traditional media do you regularly consume?

I get the majority of my news on tv or through the BBC news app.

10. How would people describe you in three words?

Laidback, sarcastic, driven.

1. What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve ever been given?

The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

2.What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be a professional tennis player or racing driver – is there still time?

3. What’s your proudest sporting achievement?

A few from participating in sport growing up but being there live to see the Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko boxing fight at Wembley last year was a privilege.

4.What will be the biggest development in the sport/fitness industry in the next 5 years?

In sport, the rise of on-demand content and how sport is broadcast – more and more non-traditional broadcasters will be picking up sporting rights.

5. Where will we find you on social media?

All of them really – Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

6. Tell us something we would never guess about you?

I can’t ride a bike!

7. Are you more fit or less fit than you were 10 years ago?

Definitely more fit.

8. You’re on a desert island and can take a book, film and box set. What would they be?

In terms of books any of Michael Calvin’s books – really fantastic insights into the world of football beyond the top leagues. Film I’d probably say Ocean’s Eleven and box set would be Breaking Bad.

9. Which traditional media do you regularly consume?

I’ll grab a paper if I’m going into London or travelling somewhere but I get the majority of my news online.

10. How would people describe you in three words?

Short (in height), outgoing and opinionated!

Network, network, network!

2. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A little bit random – I wanted to do full-time aid work in Africa, I used to do a lot of volunteer work with my parents and at age 10 I had decided I wanted to open my orphanage. Sadly, that hasn’t happened but I still do bits of volunteering here and there!

4. What will be the biggest development in the sport/fitness industry in the next 5 years?

Instagram

6. Tell us something we would never guess about you?
I grew up in Barbados but I’m one of the palest people I know (there was a reason my nickname was Snowflake, luckily fake tan has since been invented)

7. Are you more fit or less fit than you were 10 years ago?
More fit – I hated anything active when I was younger!

8. You’re on a desert island and can take a book, film and box set. What would they be?
Any book by Jo Nesbo, Pitch Perfect is always a film I can watch over and over easily, and I’ve never seen Game Thrones so it would be the perfect time to start that box set.

9. Which traditional media do you regularly consume?
I still enjoy flicking through magazines, but usually I get my daily news from online national news sites.
10. How would people describe you in three words?
Reliable, open (probably too liberal with personal information but sharing is caring!) and determined
