Founded in 1994 by Sue Anstiss, Promote PR has spent the last 23 years encouraging more people to be more active more often. Each year at least 10% of agency time is donated pro bono to worthy organisations in sport and fitness.
In the 1990’s Sue played an integral part in the establishment of the Fitness Industry Association (now ukactive), bringing in headline sponsors for campaigns including BUPA, adidas and PPP.
Sue was a Board Director at the Fitness Industry Association in 2012 as it repositioned itself as ukactive. She now sits on the ukactive Supplier Council.
In 2013 Sue became a Founding Director of the Women’s Sport Trust, a charity dedicated to increasing the profile and impact of women’s sport.
Having served on the Boards of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and ProActive West London, in 2015 Sue became Chair of Get Berkshire Active (a County Sport Partnership) and in 2016 was appointed as a Board Director of the national County Sport Partnership Network.
Promote PR was was voted Supplier of the Year in the fitness industry’s prestigious FLAME awards in both 2015 and 2016 and has won numerous CIPR awards for its highly effective campaigns.

Our incredible team includes a mix of sports science graduates, along with seasoned PR professionals and journalists, all united by a love of sport, fitness and wellbeing.

Not satisfied with running the agency and trying to keep up with three sporty teenagers, Sue also volunteers her time as the Chair of Get Berkshire Active, a non-exec director of the national Country Sport Partnership Network Board, as a trustee for the Women's Sport Trust charity and she also sits on the Supplier Council for ukactive.
Having competed for GB as an Age Group triathlete in recent years, for 2017 Sue's setting her sights on some competitive weightlifting and indoor rowing.
Sue definitely lives life with an enthusiastic 'glass half full' attitude.
The newest addition to our expanding team, Nasima brings over 20 years’ experience in PR and communications across many sectors including health and wellbeing, beauty, entertainment and FMCG.
With previous senior roles at agencies including Speed, Bray Leino, Grayling and The Communications Store, Nas has led integrated campaigns for global brands such as Samsung, P&G, Marks & Spencer and Heinz
After five years at the agency we're still regularly surprised to discover Alison's extraordinary life accomplishments. From dancing and music to travel and celebrity meetings - Alison certainly earns Promote's 'Been There Done That' T-shirt.
With years' of consumer PR experience, and 10 years in communications at Legoland, Alison is constantly prepared for any eventuality. It's clear her life motto is 'Be Prepared' (once a Brownie, always a Brownie).
A Loughborough sports science graduate, former netballer and basketball player - Nicky now enjoys a little road cycling and recently joined the Spartan Trifecta Tribe - completing Sprint, Super & Beast races in one year.
Full of creative ideas for consumer media campaigns, Nicky leads on a number of key Promote accounts including Wattbike, TRX, England Athletics and the Reading Half Marathon.
Life and soul of any Promote PR party Nicky's life motto is "Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often".
With a Masters in Sports Psychology, Amelia's passionate about getting people more active in sport and fitness.
Still playing hockey regularly for Staines, Amelia leads on a number of Promote accounts championing women's sport including TeamUp, Boudavida and the Women's Sport Trust.
Always on the look out for new challenges, Amelia's life motto is "if you have everything under control, you’re not moving fast enough."

Ruth's doing a great job supporting across a range of our sports and fitness accounts including Sweatshop Events, The Gym Group, Polar and TeamUp with England Hockey, England Netball and the ECB.
A former competitive cheerleader, Gabby loves the gym, and puts her fitness knowledge to great use working across a range of Promote clients including TRX, Wattbike and The Gym Group and Life Fitness.
Always keen to try something new, Gabby's life motto is “I’d rather an oops than a what if”.
Ensuring the entire Promote office runs smoothly at all times, the remarkable Kate Hannon manages everything from finance and HR through to IT and recruitment.
